SEWN Giveaway!

Well I finally decided what I'm going to giveaway for the SEWN website launch....

The Charlie - Manzanita Clutch!

Named after my beautiful niece Charlotte, this is my first original bag design, and it's looking for a new home.

All sewn with Joel Dewberry's manzanita collection in robin egg blue and brown. I love the lily's on this piece.

All 100% cotton.
10"length x 7.5" height, darted for a width of 2.5" with a 4.5" strap length.

The contest begins NOW! Open till June 8th at midnight EST. I will randomly choose a winner and announce it the following day (June 9th). Please make sure you include an email address or link to your blog so I can contact you if you win. International contestants welcome!

So here's how to enter:

-For one entry: leave a comment on this post by June 8th at midnight EST. Tell me something interesting, random, whatever your heart desires. One catch: tell me where you find inspiration. Include a link to a blog, website, shop, whatever, where you look for inspiration. I'm always looking for new inspiration.

-For an additional two enteries - blog about it! Just let me know in your comment so I can go check out your crafty blog!

-For an additional three entries: follow-me by clicking on the Follow-Me button on the right hand side. (To my current followers - you are already in the race!)

So in total - that's six enteries for your chance to win!

It's that easy!
My first giveaway on this blog, and I'm getting excited!!!

Good luck to you all!

Great bag!! Thanks for the opportunity :-)

I get a lot of inspiration from the internet. There's so many people doing great crafts out there, and sharing their results with everybody!! I particularly like flickr pools. Groups like the sew mama sew group, or the i love sewing group, or the bag hag if what you're into are bags... They are great inspiration!!

Thanks again for the chance :-)

That is such a cute bag, perfect for an anti-purse person, like me!

My inspiration comes from mostly other quilters. I see things I like and make them my own. I'm not to into creating my own patterns yet, but I modify others to make it special to me, whether I use different colors or a different cut...

MaMa May 30, 2009 at 11:15 AM

Hello - Here are some blogs I really enjoy. They have good tutorials, too. I love the purse you're giving away...very pretty. Thanks for hosting.

One of the blogs I read is QuiltDad - I like the colors and the simplicity of what he makes (or swaps)

http://quiltdad.blogspot.com/

For your Wonderland quilt, I think it depends on what you want the quilt for - the gray makes it calmer, the white more fresh and clean. I like the white better myself.

http://quilterblogs.com/

It's great for seeing what so many quilting blogs are up to. Now that I have the net, I don't rely so much on books or magazines like in the 'old days'. Everything we need is online!

Aunt Spicy June 6, 2009 at 9:26 PM

...oh, I have been debating doing the Sewn giveaway...so impressed you are doing it! Let's see, inspiration...well normally is from looking at books, especially oldschool craft books from thrift shops!

Bronwyn June 6, 2009 at 9:40 PM

It's going to sound very cliche but other peoople's blogs are my inspiration! Sometimes it is just their heading or their background picture which gives me ideas, sometimes a photo or a colour combination. Thanks for your giveaway and for entering mine! I have become a 'follower'!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I took a look at your fabrics for the Old Red Barn Co. quilt along and they look great! I am excited to see how they turn out in the quilt. I really liked the ones that Dana chose for her quilt, so I had a hard time talking myself into not copying her.

As for my inspiration- so many blogs online- some are listed on my blog, but I have found so many more in these recent giveaways! that is why I need to ground myself from the internet so I can get anything done. I am currently obsessed with Heather Ross Far Far Away all because of the quilts mad by Ashley of http://www.filminthefridge.com/ I am very inspired by all of the improve quilting that people are doing. Ok- sorry for the novel in your comments!
