A friend of mine just showed me a quilt where all she did was stitch down the middle of each strip of fabric, not quilting in the ditch, but literally in the middle of each strip. I think that would go pretty fast so you could knock it out rather quickly. Her project actually looked like she did a lot more hand stitching after it was washed and finished.

Can't wait to hear what you decide!!! : )Shortyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09282939278824959005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3163536507219882217.post-88261366523400716442009-07-07T13:22:48.600-04:002009-07-07T13:22:48.600-04:00What a coinky dink today! I was looking through some pictures last night and saw my Cotton Blossoms quilt blocks and told myself that I should put that on my list of things to finish up this month. At least the top can be finished! Then I see this. :D What pattern did you use? It looks familiar.
So what size is this (for machine quilting purposes)? I have no idea how one decides on what quilting design to use. :SCJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12644905777364436470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3163536507219882217.post-12262376106037698862009-07-07T13:04:29.185-04:002009-07-07T13:04:29.185-04:00Well, you can always give it to me and that would ...Well, you can always give it to me and that would solve your problem. :) I love the colors of this quilt. I have been seeing alot of straight but crooked lines in a quilt (does that make sense) and I'm kind of liking that look. However, since this is already a straight lined quilt, maybe just some easy loopy loops would work to soften the edges? Or an easy continuous floral design. Check some of the quilting sites for easy flowery quilt designs.Barbara Sindlingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05864004276255587051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3163536507219882217.post-9364214482716275482009-07-07T12:57:16.205-04:002009-07-07T12:57:16.205-04:00That is always the hardest decision for me. It might look really great with some sort of straight line quilting though (can you tell I'm new to this quilting thing? i don't have the lingo down yet.)
